Rude Malaysians

I had a rather unpleasant encounter during lunch hour yesterday.
My colleagues and I were walking to a restaurant for lunch, and as usual I didn’t walk too quickly so as to not leave my pregnant colleague trailing too far behind. So when we reached the end of the escalator, a middle aged lady pushed me off with her two bare hands! I was aghast with such a rude gesture. This middle aged couple was not standing behind me for too long in fact, I so happened to enter the escalator before her, so she was standing behind me all through the ride. Well, even if you’re in such a rush, there’s really no need for pushing. Why release your stress on me? Such a pushing is an invitation for a fight, but then I wouldn’t want to fight an elderly lady who supposedly has more patience and good sense. Where has Miss Manners gone to? Wouldn’t a simple 3 word phrase “Please excuse me?” make the world less hostile place?
Anyway, that rude couple finally rushed off to a food court. Not that they walked extra fast. We in our moderate pace, were not trailing too far behind from them anyway. How true.. a hungry (wo)man is an angry (wo)man.
